yaroslav lenzyakYaroslav Lenzyak was born in the coastal health resort town New Kakhovka situated in the south of Ukraine. The atmosphere of those places saturated with the sun energy couldn’t help influencing on the development of Yaroslav’s creative talents.
The school years were the starting point to comprehend art of music. The music education got at the teenage period of time played its role for producer mastership. There has been an amazing experience in Yaroslav’s life. A lot of Yaroslav’s friends got the original ringtones when the mobile phones had a melody creation feature.
Having moved in Nikolaev, he began to work on electronic music in 2006. The professional DJ career developed in here too. At this time he visited the international music festival Kazantip and loved the European minimal music.
In 2008 there was the first release of techno symphony called Weeping of enigmatic whale. At this period of time Yaroslav intensively started a creative activity as DJ. We can hear a sweet symbiosis of different electronic music styles in his works thanks to his desire and ability to experiment with the sounds.
Yaroslav international activity is growing very fast. He opens new music perspectives for his listeners. So it is safe to say that he will make himself known a lot of times all over the world and the number of his fans will considerably increase.

Tzinah Records: Could you remember when and where have you felt it for the first time that you were to become a music artist?
Yarsoslav Lenzyak: I was inspired by the Kazantip festival, where I first heard cool minimal music which made me dance. This was 6,7 years ago. At that time I started to learn a different musical sequencers. My first artist name was Pozitive.

Tzinah Records: Why did you choose to create and play this particular type of music? Are there any artists that touched you deeply while developing your own style?
Yarsoslav Lenzyak: I chose this style because it makes me dance. And also I like the deep sounds that sometimes make me think about something emotional. These artists inspired me: Arapu / Barac / Rhadoo / Fumiya Tanaka / Melchior Productions and etc.

Tzinah Records: Please, briefly, describe for us, the current state of the underground music scene in the place you come from. Is it any good?
Yarsoslav Lenzyak: I was born in Ukraine, the city of New Kahovka, is a small town, but beautiful. About underground music there is a very sad situation.

Tzinah Records: Without giving out too much about your secret weapons, please tell us how does the magic work in your production routine. Software? Analog? What does your DJ set-up imply?
Yarsoslav Lenzyak: Without secrets. For writing music I use Ableton 9 and some midi controllers. Currently i play from cd.

Tzinah Records: What are the aspects of your daily life that are influencing the shape and sound of the music that you currently make?
Yarsoslav Lenzyak: I love to travel. I am inspired by nature, different places. At the moment I live in Spain and i love it . I am pleased to be among the sea. Now I work engaged in writing music. A lot of time I spend on music.

Tzinah Records: Which underground house DJ or producer would you love to take out for a summer picnic? With which artist (from any music genre) would you spend 24 hours stuck in an elevator?
Yarsoslav Lenzyak: I like this artist: Hubble , very nice person.

Tzinah Records: Have you already played in your most-dreamed about venue? Which one is that?
Yarsoslav Lenzyak: Played in different places, but such that b for a dream I think not.

Tzinah Records: What motivates you to be an active part of the underground movement?
Yarsoslav Lenzyak: Music.

Tzinah Records: What’s your favorite type of breakfast?
Yarsoslav Lenzyak: I like scrambled eggs with mushrooms and bacon.

Tzinah Records: What do you do when the music is not playing?
Yarsoslav Lenzyak: Create it! ) Or find a place where music plays.

Tzinah Records: What’s the story behind your Tzinah Podcast? How did you record it and are there released or unreleased tracks?
Yarsoslav Lenzyak: In this podcast for Tzinah, I used a lot unreleased tracks. Most of the tracks – vinyls.

Tzinah Records: Are there any of your plans/upcoming projects that you would like to share with us? Where can we see you play next?
Yarsoslav Lenzyak: Yes, I have a few tracks which I am working now , I think in the near future I will send them ;). Planned some gigs soon in Europe.

Tzinah Records: Supposing you come back reading this interview in 10 years from now; could you try saying something to your future-self?
Yarsoslav Lenzyak: I think it’s all right .)
