Tzinah: Could you remember when and where have you felt it for the first time that you were to become a music artist?
Jozhy K: From early childhood, I was interested in music … I’ve learned to play on musical tools and was improvising with everything. Later in school I’ve become interested in DJing and that was the beginning of my DJ Career. My first performance took place in 2003.

Tzinah: Why did you choose to create and play this particular type of music? Are there any artists that touched you deeply while developing your own style?
Jozhy K: These rhythms make me dance, these rhythms are heard inside me
A tremendous influence on on me, were the Romanian artists that I had the opportunity to listen to here in Odessa, at different parties.

Tzinah: Please, briefly, describe for us, the current state of the underground music scene in the place you come from. Is it any good?
Jozhy K: Actually I came from the west of Ukraine and currently living in the south of Odessa. I want to say that this city is the center of the underground in Ukraine.

Tzinah: Without giving out too much about your secret weapons, please tell us how does the magic work in your production routine. Software? Analog? What does your DJ set-up imply?
Jozhy K: In 2008-2010 I had a live project where I was playing with midi controllers and drum machines. At this moment I prefer to play with CDs and vinyl.

Tzinah: What are some of the aspects in your daily life that are influencing the shape and sound of the music that you currently create?
Jozhy K: The key to my sounding is my mood. It is a driving force in the creation of music

Tzinah: Which underground house DJ or producer would you love to take out for a summer picnic? With which artist (from any music genre) would you spend 24 hours stuck in an elevator?
Jozhy K: There are so many talented and interesting artists that I would like to know better. Many of them I have respect for what they do and at the same time they are honest and open people!

Tzinah: Have you already played in your most-dreamed about venue or are you currently working on it? Which one is that?
Jozhy K: At one time I toured all over Ukraine and visited almost every corner of the country. Certainly I’m still growing and my plan is to play all across Europe.

Tzinah: What’s your favorite type of breakfast?
Jozhy K: Milk and cornflakes

Tzinah: What do you do when the music is not playing?
Jozhy K: I’m sleeping. This is a time when the music is not playing…

Tzinah: Is there a story behind your Tzinah Family podcast? How did you record it, and, are there released or unreleased tracks?
Jozhy K: I’ve recorded the podcast at an after-hour party with a lot of my friends, good mood and positive emotions

Tzinah: Are there any of your plans/upcoming projects that you would like to share with us? Where can we see you play next?
Jozhy K: Nowadays I’m working hard and had a lot of collaborations with my mates and some of the new Romanian producers. I like that way at this moment. The next will be parties with my foreign friends.

Tzinah: Supposing you come back reading this interview in 10 years from now; could you try now saying something to your future-self?
Jozhy K: Do what you like and like what you do man! Be yourself and feel free!
