Tzinah Records interview

Tzinah Records: So how did all begin for you?

Adrianho: Well, music is my passion for many years now. At the beginning i was talking it as a hobby, but as the years past, i realized i wanna do this more professional, so i started jamming with the beats 3 years ago and now here i am :)

Tzinah Records: Where did your name came from?

Adrianho: A friend gave it to me and i liked it :)

Tzinah Records: What role does the artist have in society in your opinion? Why do you do what you do?

Adrianho: I do what I do because i love it. Simple as that. I feel this music and that’s about it..

Tzinah Records: Why did you chose to play this music?

Adrianho: I always liked music that involves melody and groove..so.. :)

Tzinah Records: Describe a real-life situation that inspired you.

Adrianho: Hmm… i don’t think i had.. my inspiration comes from everything in life , not just a particular situation.

Tzinah Records: What is your point of view on labeling genres?

Adrianho: Music is so complex and genres get intermingled so often these days.

Tzinah Records: What is your opinion regarding this blend and you think we should find names for them or just let them be?

Adrianho: I think we just let them be as they are…every artist has his view on music.. but that doesn’t means he should label it as a particular genre

Tzinah Records: What do you think about the music scene in your country? What is your opinion about European underground music scene, new talents, old producers, what do you think about Romanian artists?

Adrianho: The underground romanian scene is very big now and i reffer here that everyone all over Europe is excited about the romanian underground sound. I think nowadays Romania sets the tone in matter of house and deep house music because of the new upcoming wave of talented producers that we have. We should be very proud, everyone loves us :)

Tzinah Records: If you could pick one place you would like to play where would it be and why?

Adrianho: I don’t have a particulary place, but i could name a few : Panorama Bar, Robert Johnson, Ushuaia Ibiza, Love Family Park :) etc.

Tzinah Records: If you had the opportunity to change something about the music industry what would it be?

Adrianho: I would focus more on the upcoming talents. These days for example is almost impossible in my opinion to become known as a dj if you don’t produce music.. And that’s no good..And people should be focused more on the music not the name of the dj :) that’s bad for the industry in my opinion.

Tzinah Records: Out of all tunes you have made, which one you think  ‘never fails’?

Adrianho: I would say the remix for Crocodile Soup :) and my first release on vinyl, Neverending Dream.

Tzinah Records: How do you see yourself changed over the years, both personal and music-wise and what did you learn?

Adrianho: I learned as the years go by u learn more and more, i developed so much in the last year and i hope in the next years i will see myself doing the same thing but on a higher scale :)

Tzinah Records: What inspires you to keep going and how do you keep yourself motivated?

Adrianho: The feedbacks that i received on the last ep’s make me continue and do it better and better ! Thank you guys !

Tzinah Records: What else do you do besides playing music?

Adrianho: I work at a local store

Tzinah Records: What makes you angry?

Adrianho: Stupid people ? :)

Tzinah Records: What is your favorite food?

Adrianho: French Fries

Tzinah Records: What computer/gear do you use?

Adrianho: For now i use only software . I work with Ableton Live and a bunch of vst’s and samples too. But in the future i want to buy some anagogic stuffs too, to make my sound warmer :)

Tzinah Records: It sounds quite easy to make music today, with the amount of software programs/synths being readily available for everyone. What do you think about this evolution?

Adrianho: I think it’s very good that we have this otherwise people like me wouldn’t have the chance to make music because not everyone can buy expensive instruments and gear .

Tzinah Records: Dark electronic music has been never as “popular” throughout the scene as it has been in the past few years. Why do you think there is this newfound fascination for darker music?

Adrianho: I don’t know , i think people are now opened for new experimental sounds, dark sounds and stuff like this

Tzinah Records: Do you have the fondness for playing vinyl or have you developed a preference for new media, such as CDs or a purely digital format?

Adrianho: I started dj-ing on cd’s and vinyl but now i’m playing with Traktor and midi controllers because they allow me to express better

Tzinah Records: What are you working on at the moment? Any present and future projects that you want to share with us?

Adrianho: I’m working on some tracks for Cyclic Records with my buddy Liquid and as usual with my mate Chazzy Chaz, a talented producer that it will blow your mind in the future, keep an eye on him!
