Tzinah Records: Could you remember when and where have you felt it for the first time that you were to become a music artist?
Skender: Since I was little I admired DJs and I always imagined one. When I came across this music scene, it inspired me a lot and I said that I want to do something like that too.

Tzinah Records: Why did you choose to create and play this particular type of music? Are there any artists that touched you deeply while developing your own style?
Skender: I chose this style of music because it has no rules and lets you explore whatever universe you want. Any song is like a journey for me. As for the artists, there are many who have influenced me and from whom I learned through their music. I think that whatever you listen to in general influences you.

Tzinah Records: Please, briefly, describe for us, the current state of the underground music scene in the place you come from. Is it any good?
Skender: I am happy that I grew up in Romania and I had the chance to come across this type of music. The scene is growing every day all over the world and new artists are always emerging. Now that the restrictions are over, the parties have started and I plan to go to as many of them as possible.

Tzinah Records: Without giving out too much about your secret weapons, please tell us how does the magic work in your production routine. Software? Analog? What does your DJ set-up imply?
Skender: For now I use only software because I am at the beginning but I plan on getting analog gear as soon as possible. I love Ableton and its features and i try to get as creative as possible with everything i have when i start producing. I usually start with the kick and bass and from there i go with the flow.

Tzinah Records: What are the aspects of your daily life that are influencing the shape and sound of the music that you currently make?
Skender: I usually listen to a lot of music whatever i do so that influences me a lot.

Tzinah Records: Which underground house DJ or producer would you love to take out for a summer picnic? With which artist (from any music genre) would you spend 24 hours stuck in an elevator?
Skender: For sure Ricardo Villalobos.

Tzinah Records: Have you already played in your most-dreamed about venue? Which one is that?
Skender: No, but i dream of playing at Sunwaves.

Tzinah Records: What motivates you to be an active part of the underground movement?
Skender: Producing in general.

Tzinah Records: What’s your favorite type of breakfast?
Skender: I don’t usually eat breakfast.

Tzinah Records: What’s the story behind your Tzinah Family Podcast? How did you record it and are there released or unreleased tracks?
Skender: I always listened to their podcasts so one day i decided to record one. There are 2 unreleased tracks of mine and the rest of them are released.

Tzinah Records: Are there any of your plans/upcoming projects that you would like to share with us? Where can we see you play next?
Skender: This is the first mix that i make so i plan to get deeper into djing and this summer i plan to make a set only of my own productions. Work in progress.

Tzinah Records: Supposing you come back reading this interview in 10 years from now; could you try saying something to your future-self?
Skender: Have fun, be patient!
