Tzinah Records: Could you remember when and where have you felt it for the first time that you were to become a music artist?
Sakdat & Balaur: Yes. A long time ago, somewhere in 2006, in Roman, Romania, we started learning how to make music, and studying the capabilities of electronic music, different genres, DAWs, etc.
Tzinah Records: Why did you choose to create and play this particular type of music? Are there any artists that touched you deeply while developing your own style?
Sakdat & Balaur: We chose minimal music because it has a very wide spectrum of posibilities. It can always surprise you and refresh the energy on the dancefloor.
Tzinah Records: Please, briefly, describe for us, the current state of the underground music scene in the place you come from. Is it any good?
Sakdat & Balaur: Yes, lots of parties to go to, many talented DJs and producers in the cities around here.
Tzinah Records: Without giving out too much about your secret weapons, please tell us how does the magic work in your production routine. Software? Analog? What does your DJ set-up imply?
Sakdat & Balaur: Lots of experimenting with sounds, mostly Ableton Live. When DJing, we like to build a nice solid groove, going through a variety of styles of minimal, always waiting for the right time to drop special own productions.
Tzinah Records: What are the aspects of your daily life that are influencing the shape and sound of the music that you currently make?
Sakdat & Balaur: Taking time everyday to work on music, most important aspect, the dedication and curiosity towards music.
Tzinah Records: What motivates you to be an active part of the underground movement?
Sakdat & Balaur: Listening to a lot of music, and hearing so many good tracks is a very good motivation to keep producing.
