Podime // Interview // Tzinah Podcast // March 2015 //

Blagoj_Rambabov_Tzinah_RecordsJust a small diffrent idea between Blagoj Rambabov and Fernando Costantini gave birth to Podime. Later on Podime was developed by Blagoj Rambabov creating his own alter ego witch will produce some of the darkest and experimental sonorities.

Tzinah Records: Could you remember when and where have you felt it for the first time that you were to become a music artist?
Podime: I like to see my self as a music lover and music collector. I have been in search for quality music from 2005 and the experience from that made me to go further and deeper in to music.

Tzinah Records: Why did you choose to create and play this particular type of music? Are there any artists that touched you deeply while developing your own style?
Podime: The reason why i started the Podime project is simple, the past year has been very hard to produce music under pressure, to much requests to much of everything. After i began this project i started to feel the same as 4-5 years ago, huge creative freedom and the beats started to roll easy again.  About the style im always influenced by artist such as Sepp, Nu Zau, Terje Bakke, tINI and many more.

Tzinah Records: Please, briefly, describe for us, the current state of the underground music scene in the place you come from. Is it any good?
Podime: Lack of qualty always, few venues in the capital city of Macedonia (Skopje) that are trying to do something, otherwise nothing that could rise my interest.

Tzinah Records: Without giving out too much about your secret weapons, please tell us how does the magic work in your production routine. Software? Analog? What does your DJset-up imply?
Podime: I tend to record loops, and after to chop them up in Abelton and create the groove that i like.

Tzinah Records: What are the aspects of your daily life that are influencing the shape and sound of the music that you currentlymake?
Podime: When im happy i have this state when i imagine beats in my head, and after that i try to deliver them in Abelton.

Tzinah Records: Which underground house DJ or producer would you love to take out for a summer picnic? With which artist (from any music genre) would you spend 24 hours stuck in an elevator?
Podime: Ricardo Villalobos or Loco Dice. The first one because of his character and interesting statements about the music and the second one because he has been my inspiration for almost 10 years.

Tzinah Records: What do you do when the music is not playing?
Podime: Read books, play games, enjoy my free time witch is limited in the past months because im working on my MA.

Tzinah Records: What’s the story behind your Tzinah Family Podcast? How did you record it and are there released or unreleased tracks?
Podime: The podcast contains my current emotions, there are many unreleased tracks here, also some of my fav labels. Tzinah, Arapu, Brouqade, Bodyparts and etc.

Tzinah Records: Are there any of your plans/upcoming projects that you would like to share with us? Where can we see you play next?
Podime: Yes many many works, is EP for Amazing Records (collab with Adam Touch Official) with remixers from Jerome.c and Mene, after that EP for Karton, and two new VA’s on Capodopere Records and Saint & don’t.

Tzinah Records: Supposing you come back reading this interview in 10 years from now; could you try saying something to your future-self?
Podime: You nerd just relax, get out and have fun.
