Maxim Tolmachev is a Producer, born on the 4th of February 1987 in Chernivtsi, Ukraine.
With a combination of different layers of modern house, tech-house, techno music, Max creates danceable, groove tech music that perfectly fits the requirement of any contemporary event.
In 2011 Max launched a career as a producer, which resulted in the acclaimed releases at some of most famous labels of the movement. His production ideas combines ideally, giving birth to that unusual and interesting high-quality new sound.
Tzinah Records: To start with, please, recommend us something to listen to while we go through this interview. It can be anything.

Tzinah Records: Could you remember when and where have you felt it for the first time that you were to become a music artist?
Max Tolmachev: When i was studying at high school I had a good friend which was playing in the clubs at that moment. After every party he was telling me about how he played, and how it was great! Once I went with him on the private party. I was standing near to him and just watching how he were playing for all night. It was something new and unreal for me. I liked that, And after that moment he were teaching me how select and mixing tracks right. So step by step I started to become a dj.
Tzinah Records: Why did you choose to create and play this particular type of music? Are there any artists that touched you deeply while developing your own style?
Max Tolmachev: I’ve always loved deeply and at the same time minimalist sound. But at one moment when Romanian dj`s wave started I realized that this is exactly what I needed. I immediately loved the music what they played, and created. And from that moment I realized that it was a style of music I want to play. There are so many people who creates great music, but few of them inspire me all the time. One of them is my friend, and a person who always helps me and leads in the right direction, his name Jozhy K. There are also several top DJs for me, I always play the tracks, and they are even watching the music, its: Barac, Suciu, Faster, Vinyl Speed Adjust, RPR Soundsystem, Zefzeed and many others. I always play different music. Mainly between minimal and house . and still very much when it all sound like a broken rhythm.
Tzinah Records: Without giving out too much about your secret weapons, please tell us how does the magic work in your production routine.Software? Analog? What does your DJ set-up imply?
Max Tolmachev: Mostly I create my music with Ableton Live, I like this Software. I don’t have Analogs instruments that’s why I don’t use that. And when I play in clubs, then mostly I play with CD and vinyl. I know that playing music by using laptop is much easier but I don’t like that. When I’m using CD or Vinyl I feel more confident.
Tzinah Records: What are the aspects of your daily life that are influencing the shape and sound of the music that you currently make?
Max Tolmachev: There are many moments which effects on the idea of track and on the sounds of it. The most important is your mood and desire. Sometimes I have inspiration when I’m in bad mood and I don’t understand why is like that. often there are ideas for tracks after a good party, or when something pleasant events that happened not long ago. I believe each person is going differently.
Tzinah Records: Which underground house DJ or producer would you love to take out for a summer picnic? With which artist (from any music genre) would you spend 24 hours stuck in an elevator?
Max Tolmachev: on a summer picnic ?? I think it will be Barac and nobody else. I would not refuse to get stuck in an elevator for 24 hours with Nina Kraviz.)
Tzinah Records: Have you already played in your most-dreamed about venue? Which one is that?
Max Tolmachev: Sunwaves. This is my dream.
Tzinah Records: What motivates you to be an active part of the underground movement?
Max Tolmachev: Music takes up most of my life, so I think that the main motivation for me is the music.
Tzinah Records: What’s your favorite type of breakfast?
Max Tolmachev: I rarely eat breakfast. but most of all in the morning like vegetables and green tea.
Tzinah Records: What do you do when the music is not playing?
Max Tolmachev: When music is not playing, I’m just trying to relax.

Max Tolmachev: currently preparing for the festival of electronic music which I play. and while plans for the summer have not.
Tzinah Records: Supposing you come back reading this interview in 10 years from now; could you try saying something to your future-self?
Max Tolmachev: It’s too difficult question. I would like just to see what I will achieve through such a long period of time.
