Ile Degare was born in Lille, under the grey and rainy skies of Northern France. His earliest experiences with music came through his father, who led a famous underground cold-wave rock band that had released records during the 80’s. In the spirit of his background, Ile Degare’s music is tainted by melancholic atmospheres supported by effervescent and chaotic noises. He is motivated to create original rhythms with deep sounds, while at the same time maintaining an energy within his productions that render them club ready. In 2015 he formed a record label called “ODT Records” in collaboration with two of his hometown friends.
