Danilo Schneider // Tzinah Podcast // Interview // August 2025 //

The deep passion for the exceptional Danilo Schneider already had before he discovered electronic music. The care for the special and unique, is also the hallmark of his music, which he creates by his own since 2003.

Danilo’s sound world is full of energy and profound. In 2008 he released his first track “Fly Away” on Berlin Vinyl Label Brouqade, followed by releases on Highgrade Records, Tip Tap Records, Invade Records, Kina Music, Affin and a bit more good selected labels.

The next logical step followed in 2010 as Danilo founded his own label Enough! Music with releases and remixes by himself and artists like Digitaline, Guido Schneider, Tom Clark, Dana Ruh, Eveline Fink, Re-Up, Ilario Liburni and many more.

Danilo Schneider brings a lot of emotions and joy to the floor with his DJ sets full of his slender, club-oriented sounds.

Tzinah Records: To start with, please recommend us something to listen to while we go through this interview.
Danilo Schneider: Pink Floyd – Shine On You Crazy Diamond.

Tzinah Records: Could you remember when and where you first felt that you were to become a music artist?
Danilo Schneider: That was around 2008. I had already been producing before then, but mainly as a hobby. My brother, Guido Schneider, had a big influence on me. In 2008, I met my wife Eveline, who taught me the techniques of DJing. Step by step, things developed until I founded my label, Enough! Music, in 2010.

Tzinah Records: Why did you choose to create and play this particular type of music? Are there any artists that touched you deeply while developing your own style?
Danilo Schneider: That developed over time, but my early exposure to this music came mainly through Club der Visionäre, starting in 2006. During that period, I met many artists and had the chance to hear them play. I think that’s where my biggest influence comes from, although my brother, Guido Schneider, is also a gifted artist. Beyond that, my musical tastes are very broad, ranging from rock ’n’ roll like Radiohead to early ’90s hip hop and electronic music. Very broad indeed.

Tzinah Records: Please, briefly, describe for us the current state of the underground music scene in the place you come from. Is it any good?
Danilo Schneider: The underground scene in Berlin still exists, but yes, it has changed since the pandemic. However, Berlin has always been known for constantly evolving and changing, and that’s a good thing.

Tzinah Records: Without giving out too much about your secret weapons, please tell us how does the magic work in your production routine. Software? Analog? What does your DJ set-up imply?
Danilo Schneider: It’s important to have a clear mind in order to be creative, as negative influences can affect the process. I work with Ableton and mainly focus on the digital side of production. For recording tracks, I also use an analog EQ and compressor from Tegeler Audio. What matters most is staying open to new ideas, tools, and plugins to keep the creativity flowing. When DJing, I use digital equipment with CD players, but I also like to mix in vinyl.

Tzinah Records: What are the aspects of your daily life that are influencing the shape and sound of the music that you currently make?
Danilo Schneider: Music production is really a process. My style was quite different at the beginning of my career, but it has evolved over time. Inspiration can also strike in other ways—an evening at a club, or even a moment spent with friends or family.

Tzinah Records: Which underground house DJ or producer would you love to take out for a summer picnic? With which artist (from any music genre) would you spend 24 hours stuck in an elevator?
Danilo Schneider: There are so many good artists. I would love to spend 24 hours with Thom Yorke in an elevator. He is a genius.

Tzinah Records: Have you already played in your most-dreamed about venue? Which one is that?
Danilo Schneider: I wouldn’t call it a dream venue, since there are so many great places out there. But among them are Sunwaves, Fabric in London, and Ushuaïa Ibiza, just to name a few.

Tzinah Records: What motivates you to be an active part of the underground movement?
Danilo Schneider: The music. Connecting people. Simply being part of the whole. Living creatively and supporting people musically through the dreary everyday life. It includes me.

Tzinah Records: What’s your favorite type of breakfast?
Danilo Schneider: We say in Germany Bauernfrühstück (farmer’s breakfast).

Tzinah Records: What do you do when the music is not playing?
Danilo Schneider: Haha, that’s a tough one—it’s with me everywhere: at the gym, while shopping, driving, and so on.

Tzinah Records: What’s the story behind your Tzinah Family Podcast? How did you record it and are there released or unreleased tracks?
Danilo Schneider: First of all, each track tells its own story. I simply bring them together in the mix, creating a new musical journey. It reflects my passion for this style of music—deep, yet playfully groovy. The mix includes released tracks that I blended digitally this time.

Tzinah Records: Are there any of your plans/upcoming projects that you would like to share with us? Where can we see you play next?
Danilo Schneider: I’m currently planning a release on my label, though there’s no exact date yet. My track When Someone Leaves Me will also be coming out soon on the compilation Tzinah Gate of Golden. In addition, there will be a label night where I’ll be playing, and an EP scheduled for release on Sonic Recordings. A few details still need to be finalized.

Tzinah Records: Supposing you come back reading this interview in 10 years from now; could you try saying something to your future-self?
Danilo Schneider: Yes, I would. Do the same thing again.
