Tzinah Records: Could you remember when and where have you felt it for the first time that you were to become a music artist?
Arseniu: I was playing with my cousins at small parties, like 10 years ago, from cassette tapes, mostly my friends were pushing me to do this but i was still keep it just hobby, i don’t know if was a feeling, i was just making music and looking to see were it brings me.
Tzinah Records: Why did you choose to create and play this particular type of music? Are there any artists that touched you deeply while developing your own style?
Arseniu: I think i didn’t choose this because i was making deferent gender before, buddha bar, deep house etc, one day i just try to make more minimal track, i send it to Radu Mirica (Ensis Black), he liked it, give me some tips, and i made a 4 tracks EP after…hehe, but after i was feeling that i had more to express so i combine what i was doing then with what i feel now, my music is and will be a mixture of deep house, dub and minimal touch, this is what i feel to make now.
Tzinah Records: Please, briefly, describe for us, the current state of the underground music scene in the place you come from. Is it any good?
Arseniu: I am from Constanta, sea coast , so good music was always there if you knew were to search for it, LA Mania and After hours are the clubs that left a mark in my had, a good one.
Tzinah Records: Without giving out too much about your secret weapons, please tell us how does the magic work in your production routine. Software? Analog? What does your DJ set-up imply?
Arseniu: I start making music from nothing, hard way, and this is good because now i can make music from scratch easily , now i am mostly using modular synths, i just love them, virtual ones but soon i am waiting an analog upgrade ..hehe, my dj set-up is a pioneer mixer 600, 2 technics turntables, hard way, like i said this is the best way to a good sound and better understanding of music.
Tzinah Records: What are the aspects of your daily life that are influencing the shape and sound of the music that you currently make?
Arseniu: Mostly my mood is the one in charge of final release……i am sad or happy you can hear on my tracks.
Tzinah Records: Which underground house DJ or producer would you love to take out for a summer picnic? With which artist (from any music genre) would you spend 24 hours stuck in an elevator?
Arseniu: i quess Barac, he is a synth user on his tracks and i respect that, not many artists in Romania are going like this, i was a big time Sasha listener aka fan ..hehe.. i guess still i am, he is amazing, so he can be the one from the elevator..hehe.
Tzinah Records: Have you already played in your most-dreamed about venue? Which one is that?
Arseniu: not yet, productions takes lots of time, and i like small steps for longer happiness then big steps and falling down faster, from September will share music to the world mixing it, i don’t have a dream venue-where are good people is a great venue i guess;
Tzinah Records: What’s your favourite type of breakfast?
Arseniu: Coffee and music
Tzinah Records: What motivates you to be an active part of the underground movement?
Arseniu: the feeling that, maybe, my music gives a smile to a sad face.
Tzinah Records: What’s the story behind your Tzinah Family Podcast? How did you record it and are there released or unreleased tracks?
Arseniu: i am happy about my collaborations, Plusculaar, Ricardo Vegas, Iaw Gom are 3 of them, good artists so is a pleasure, my collaboration with Primarie is a very happy one, thanks for support!
Tzinah Records: Are there any of your plans/upcoming projects that you would like to share with us? Where can we see you play next?
Arseniu: in London i’ll play first, soon i’ll announce time, date etc …
Tzinah Records: Supposing you come back reading this interview in 10 years from now; could you try saying something to your future-self?
Arseniu: All good- keep on doing it..hehe
