Tzinah Records: To start with, please, recommend us something to listen to while we go through this interview. It can be anything.
incolor: This track made my day better . Hope it makes yours too https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ffzJAC_wZtk

Tzinah Records: Could you remember when and where have you felt it for the first time that you were to become a music artist?
incolor: I don’t think I’m a music artist in this moment . An “artist” means something bigger for me and I don’t think that I’m at that level right now. But to answer your question, in my opinion, a music artist doesn’t mean only to play music. A music artist must also to create his own music . So, I started to take this work more seriously when I released an EP at a good label (Baile Musik) last year.

Tzinah Records: Why did you choose to create and play this particular type of music? Are there any artists that touched you deeply while developing your own style?
incolor: I chose to create this type of music because I find myself in this genre and it fits perfectly with my lifestyle . The idea is that I play this music because I like it and not because somebody else likes it . Of course that some big artists like Petre Inspirescu, Ion Ludwig, Ricardo Villalobos & others are influencing me but I try to keep my own style.

Tzinah Records: Please, briefly, describe for us, the current state of the underground music scene in the place you come from. Is it any good?
incolor: If I talk about my country(Romania), I think the underground movement is pretty good , we have a lot of artists and events ; but if I talk about the town I live in, the underground music scene from here isn’t so good. I can say it’s degraded.

Tzinah Records: Without giving out too much about your secret weapons, please tell us how does the magic work in your production routine. Software? Analog? What does your DJset-up imply?
incolor: For the moment I use only softwares. I wish to have some analog toys but they are pretty expensive for me right now. About the dj set-up , I’m not a digital fan so I prefer the cd players and I’ll be happy to have a pick-up too on the desk.

Tzinah Records: What are the aspects of your daily life that are influencing the shape and sound of the music that you currentlymake?
incolor: My sound is clearly influenced by my mood. For this reason, I can’t planify a music project , I just follow the wave. For example I can’t make a “happy track” if I’m in a dark mood . Another funny thing I noticed is that I’m very inspired and productive when I’m dizzy.

Tzinah Records: Which underground house DJ or producer would you love to take out for a summer picnic? With which artist (from any music genre) would you spend 24 hours stuck in an elevator?
incolor: Hard to choose only one , but about the elevator , my mind flies to Nastia , hahah.

Tzinah Records: Have you already played in your most-dreamed about venue? Which one is that?
incolor: Someday I wish to play at Sunwaves Festival but however, I think that the crowd matters more than a place.

Tzinah Records: What motivates you to be an active part of the underground movement?
incolor: The reason is that this music and this lifestyle is the main thing wich makes me happy in these moments.

Tzinah Records: What’s your favorite type of breakfast?
incolor: I choose milk with cereals or fruits in the morning.

Tzinah Records: What do you do when the music is not playing?
incolor: For the moment my time is rapt by the college and in my free time I like getting out in the nature , practicing some sports, watching various documentaries or movies.

Tzinah Records: What’s the story behind your Tzinah Family Podcast? How did you record it and are there released or unreleased tracks?
incolor: Just some tracks mixed with love and passion.

Tzinah Records: Are there any of your plans/upcoming projects that you would like to share with us? Where can we see you play next?
incolor: You can catch me playing this summer also on the Black Sea beach and in autumn in London but stay tuned on my page for more.

Tzinah Records: Supposing you come back reading this interview in 10 years from now; could you try saying something to your future-self?
incolor: For me the future is an abstract thing because is very unforeseeable but for sure I can see that I’ll be better than now. I noticed that the experience counts enough.
