I’ve learned to worry about the things that are really important and enjoy the good things about each stage of life.

Tzinah Records: So how did all begin for you?
Kambo Rio: I played the piano at school, but I chose to play football. I didn’t know electronic music. I listened to all kinds except electronic music haha, because in the area where I lived, people don’t hear that. indeed, electronic music appeared by chance in my life. at first I did not even like techno, But little by little, people around me and the musical evolution that everyone has, come to me. I listened to John Dalbalk, jewell julien, djuma soundsystem, until I heard Ricardo, Then I realized that electronic music, especially techno, was my place.

Tzinah Records: Where did your name came from?
Kambo Rio: was the nickname of my father when he was young. I inherited :P

Tzinah Records: What role does the artist have in society in your opinion? Why do you do what you do?
Kambo Rio: the role of the artist is that he/she is necessary for society. a society without artists would be boring, would´t be society. Music makes me enjoy even more good times and forget the problems

Tzinah Records: Why did you chose to play this music?
Kambo Rio: Pleasure

Tzinah Records: Describe a real-life situation that inspired you.
Kambo Rio: people who think that what I do is for nothing, making music is a waste of time… I love to contradict. this motivates me

Tzinah Records: What is your point of view on labeling genres? Music is so complex and genres get intermingled so often these days. What is your opinion regarding this blend and you think we should find names for them or just let them be?
Kambo Rio: Music technology today gives you many facilities to do what you really like. then, people take what is inside himself and puts in a song, and names for them? its Music

Tzinah Records: What do you think about the music scene in your country? What is your opinion about European underground music scene, new talents, old producers, what do you think about Romanian artists?
Kambo Rio: in Spain, people like parties, Ibiza, Barcelona, Madrid … but I miss the people go to enjoy the music. most of them go to festivals and parties because what they really like is to drink and jump. When I think in Europe, i Think in Berlin. Underground music is more alive than ever and new artists are born every day, and some of then really good. old producers are our parents. they point the way. in relation to the Romanian artists, I just say: RESPECT. I enjoy with your music

Tzinah Records: If you could pick one place you would like to play where would it be and why?
Kambo Rio: on any beach at 8 pm. I like music with the sun at that time

Tzinah Records: If you had the opportunity to change something about the music industry what would it be?
Kambo Rio: I like. wouldn’t change anything, i think

Kambo Rio: I think music has a place for everyone, although if you want to stand out you have to be the best. that’s what I try. if a software makes things easier, why not use it?

Tzinah Records: Dark electronic music has been never as “popular” throughout the scene as it has been in the past few years. Why do you think there is this newfound fascination for darker music?
