In a univers in cotinuous development, music is always there, and Puicea found its formula. Alex was born on May 8th 1988 in Drobeta Turnu Severin, and his first contact with electronic music was around the age of 15. After less than 2 years, he learned to play music by himself. The first club he played at was Josephine in his hometown, and soon after, eletronic music lovers began to notice him and to enjoy his sounds. He started to play in all clubs in the area along with renowned Romanian Dj’s. He took the next step in his Dj career and moved to Bucharest, where, in 2009 he made his debut by winning the First Prize in the Zeedo Dj Contest that took place at Arenele Romane. Since then he’s been playing in different clubs in Bucharest such as: Expirat, Studio Martin, Embryo ,Guest House and Whatever. In the summer of 2010 he joined the Groove On team, mixing every Tuesday from 20:00 (Bucharest time) with Miss I and Hado during the “Smoothy Grooves” radio show. After all of this it’s time for his debut as a producer and he’s a part of Public Order project with whom he released at Tzinah Records, a Romanian label that completly gets he’s beats, releasing also his first material, who’s having a great succes between Dj’s around the world. His sets have a deep, controlled, almost gentle sound with different influences from the deep house and techno areas.

1. So how did all begin for you?
Puicea: It all began at a bar in my hometown,a bar where I always brought cd`s with electronic music to listen in the week-end nights,one day the bartender told me to put the cd in the deck , and I did it .I kept putting tracks on untill I learned how to mix, after that it was easy.I was having fun.
2. Where did your name came from?
Puicea: My name is Alexandru Eugen Puicea, so …
3. What brought you more close to the house music?
Puicea: The taste for the good music and the people, because the fact is that I love mixing house tracks and making people feel good.
4. Did the djing or production came first for you? Tell us about your roots.
Puicea: At first I played at local clubs just to understand how people react and how they are able to listen to my kind of music,then I started producing tracks.
5. What was the first important event that you played at? How did it feel?
Puicea: My first important event was in 2009,the event was called “Zedoo dj contest” at arenele romane in Bucharest. It was great .
6. Who’s throwing the best parties in your opinion?
Puicea: Onestly i don`t know. If the music is good,the party will be good.
7. Which other contries have you played ?
Puicea: For the moment,just in Romania.
8. What do you think about the music scene in your country?
Puicea: Its growing nicely .
9. What is your opinion about european underground music scene , new tallents, old producers, what do you think about romanian artists?
Puicea: The european scene of electronic music was pretty nice since the beginnings.The real good guys where in Detroit and Chicago, but they where making money in Europe. I love playing Little Hado`s track right now ,but it depends on the mood,because I don’t always find the right sound for me at local producers.
10. If you could pick one place you would like to play where would it be and why ?
Puicea: Detroit…labour day
11. Do you see yourself being a dj all your life?
Puicea: Yes!
12.Out of all tunes you have made , which one you think ‘never fails’?
Puicea: Hmmm…good question.
13.Which artists inspires you the most ?
Puicea: Gemini aka Spencer Kincy
14.Are you focusing more on djing or on production right now?
Puicea: Right now I`m focusing on djing.
15.When you’re not working, when the party is over, how do you like to chill out?
Puicea: Nature ,I have a house at the country side.
16.What projects are you working on at the moment?
Puicea: Well, i am going to start working on a new ep in September, hope it will be nice.
17.Describe your relationship with our label from your point of view.
Puicea: It s been great having the opportunity to release my first ep at tzinah ,hope many more to come.
