Tzinah Records: So how did all begin for you? Tell us a little about how you started Djing/producing.
Psykoloco: I started to be in Electronic music in 1993, when i listen for the 1st time Techno music in Spain. It was in a Rave party. I started Djing later , like in 2000.
Tzinah Records: What role does the artist have in society in your opinion? Why do you do what you do?
Psykoloco: I think the artist is a scientific of the dream & of the heart, like a man who wants to find some dreams for a better world. And i think that music, for me , is just the wife of my life ! ;)
Tzinah Records: Describe a real-life situation that inspired you.
Psykoloco: Well, when i take the subway in Paris, a lot of sounds inspire me for produce a track . So every time that i’m in the street, i have a recorder for take the sound that i want .
Tzinah Records: If you could pick one place you would like to play where would it be and why?
Psykoloco: The place for me where you can catch the energy of the people, and where the quality of the sound is for me one of the best, will be the Robert Jonhson in Germany . It’s not a big club ( 500 ) and the sound system & the vibe are just amazing .
Tzinah Records: If you had the opportunity to change something about the music industry what would it be?
Psykoloco: Well, a lot of thinks have to be changed in the music industry. But the first will be to stop the illegal downloads.
Tzinah Records: How do you see yourself changed over the years, both personal and music-wise and what did you learn?
Psykoloco: I change my vision of the music since i stay 2 years in a Audio engineer school. I learn a lot about technique of mix, software, recording technicals, microphone & more . And i still learning every day more ;)
Tzinah Records: What computer/gear do you use?
Psykoloco: I use a Macintosh computer, with some drum machine , analog Synthetiser , and a lot of microphone for recording.
Tzinah Records: It sounds quite easy to make music today, with the amount of software programs/synths being readily available for everyone. What do you think about this evolution?
Psykoloco: This evolution open the doors for teenagers and for people who don’t have money to spend in hardware, but a real machine is a real machine , you can’t compare a sound coming from electronics component & a sound coming from a plugins. This is my opinion !
Tzinah Records: Dark electronic music has been never as “popular” throughout the scene as it has been in the past few years. Why do you think there is this newfound fascination for darker music?
Psykoloco: I think we don’t have to call “dark music”, it’s just music minimalist with some special sounds & textures. Like a music from Movies , it’s not Dark, but more mental !
Tzinah Records: What are you working on at the moment? Any present and future projects that you want to share with us?
Psykoloco: I’m working on my Vinyl label at the moment that will be called “DRUMBLE Music” and i ‘ll still working at the studio. You will listen it soon for sure ;)
