pawlo tojedaPawlo Tojeda was born in Poland in 1982. He grew up in Germany and the Netherlands. Already at a young age he found his passion for electronic dance music and he also knew that he did not only want to listen to the music; he also wanted to perform and produce it! His dj career started at 17 and after a short time he developed his own style, got a lot experience and made many important contacts.
Over 4 years ago Pawlo Tojeda started to perform as a solo artist. He has been able to entertain the
music community in Berlin, NRW and Roermond, with his Deep-Techno- Sound. He doesn’t like to categorize his sound as techno, techhouse or minimal; it’s a mix of all of them. In a short time Pawlo Tojeda has been able to make name for himself in the electronic music scene, together with other dj’s like Format B, Maximilijan, Jonas Saalbach, Arado, Vito, 2InSicht, Wolke Cloud, Chris Lustig, Rochus Grolle and many others. Over the past few years he has performed at several clubs and festivals, like Chalet, Berlin, Treibgut (Düsseldorf ) Splash Festival ( Netherlands ), Farbgefühle Festival ( Neuss Rennbahn )Loft (Neuss), Stillvoll (Neuss), Yolo (MG), Foyer (Düsseldorf ), Rheingold (Düsseldorf), DUX
(Netherlands). He also had a lot of his own releases at labels like Tzinah Records, Tip Tap Records, Tempura Records, Menomale Records , Something Different Again.
Since 2013 he has partnered up with Chris Lustig as owner of the vinyl label FreundSein from Berlin. Still there is so much more to come. In October 2014 Pawlo Tojeda will release a new record on vinyl, together with Maximilijan ( Moon Harbour, Mobilee), Adrianho ( Cyclic , Tzinah ), Chazzy Chaz (Cyclic, Tzinah ) and his label partner Chris Lustig (FreundSein Recordings, Berlin).

Tzinah Records: To start with, please, recommend us something to listen to while we go through this interview. It can be anything.

Tzinah Records: Could you remember when and where have you felt it for the first time that you were to become a music artist?
Pawlo Tojeda: It was 1996, my father is a musician, so i started very fast with music. my first DJ experience… was 1998, i have started as a hip hop dj… 2000 I have changed my style to house, electro and later deep techno, minimal house.. sounds with a good groove ..

Tzinah Records: Why did you choose to create and play this particular type of music? Are there any artists that touched you deeply while developing your own style?
Pawlo Tojeda: hehe, yes … Deepeche Mode, Jeff Mills, Ricardo Villalobos, Sven Väth, Luciano, Underworld, Mathew Jonson & Maurizio ́s ..sound ́s helped me to develop.

Tzinah Records: Please, briefly, describe for us, the current state of the underground music scene in the place you come from. Is it any good?
Pawlo Tojeda: So I come from Poland, however, live long since in Germany and the Netherlands. Through this quite different sounds and styles develop. I myself prefer Berlin as a scene town, many different sounds with many different people very brightly, very cool

Tzinah Records: Without giving out too much about your secret weapons, please tell us how does the magic work in your production routine. Software? Analog? What does your DJ set­up imply? So, it is a mixture of all. Of course
Pawlo Tojeda: I hide my vinyl loves :­D

Tzinah Records: What are the aspects of your daily life that are influencing the shape and sound of the music that you currently make?
Pawlo Tojeda: I dedicate to the purchase of the vinyls, much of my free time, and I am inspired of them to compose my productions.

Tzinah Records: Which underground house DJ or producer would you love to take out for a summer picnic? With which artist (from any music genre) would you spend 24 hours stuck in an elevator?
Pawlo Tojeda: HAHA :­D ..so I would have nothing against it with Ricardo Villalobos one have a picnic to make..in addition some hot vinyl discs and the party can rise.. a studio meet with him would be already bombs..

Tzinah Records: Have you already played in your most­dreamed about venue? Which one is that?
Pawlo Tojeda: Yes, but this has changed meanwhile. to finds… I like Berghain, Robert Johnson, Sunwaves Festival, …

Tzinah Records: What’s your favorite type of breakfast?
Pawlo Tojeda: Eggs, tomatoes, fresh bread..

Tzinah Records: What do you do when the music is not playing?
Pawlo Tojeda: Clap your hands everybody :­P

Tzinah Records: What’s the story behind your Tzinah Podcast? How did you record it and are there released or unreleased tracks?
Pawlo Tojeda: I recorded the podcast on a Sunday night at my Studio,with a few tracks of artist I may and which I support. ;­) a track is also from me :­D

Tzinah Records: Are there any of your plans/upcoming projects that you would like to share with us? Where can we see you play next?
Pawlo Tojeda: So I may not betray yet a lot… but but two cool vinyl come out on FreundSein

Tzinah Records: Supposing you come back reading this interview in 10 years from now; could you try saying something to your future­self?
Pawlo Tojeda: Not yet..
