Tzinah Records: To start with, please, recommend us something to listen to while we go through this interview. It can be anything.
Nici Frida: Hi, my name is Nici Frida based in Frankfurt/Munich Germany and I love to play underground music, it’s the essence of my life. Especially I like to to play and produce the kind of music which goes to the deeper, dubby electronic sounds.

Tzinah Records: Could you remember when and where have you felt it for the first time that you were to become a music artist?
Nici Frida: This was the time after I had my release with my bro Sergio Collado on Raw Trax Rec. with ‘’white widdow ep’’’. The people came to us and congratulate us to this release and tell us how they are inspired by our work, this was the first time for me that I felt to become a artist.

Tzinah Records: Why did you choose to create and play this particular type of music? Are there any artists that touched you deeply while developing your own style?
Nici Frida: Yes of course there is no one or other artist, like which helped me to find my own style, but too many to say names, because I learned from different styles of different genres before I came to my own.

Tzinah Records: Please, briefly, describe for us, the current state of the underground music scene in the place you come from. Is it any good?
Nici Frida: It is who I answered in the question before, I listen so much different styles but love to experiment with music especially from genre’s like hip hop or classic in my sound.

Tzinah Records: Without giving out too much about your secret weapons, please tell us how does the magic work in your production routine. Software? Analog? What does your DJ set-up imply?
Nici Frida: Analog & digital, I love both but don’t have an idea for a special tip I can give people except that you try to create a sound on your own what other artists could inspire. That could be anything..

Tzinah Records: Have you already played in your most-dreamed about venue? Which one is that?
Nici Frida: No not yet. My most dreamed venue is RJ …would love to play there anytime. Sunwaves Festival would also a dream to play.

Tzinah Records: What’s your favorite type of breakfast?
Nici Frida: Coffee! My breakfirst all over the day..

Tzinah Records: What do you do when the music is not playing?
Nici Frida: Turn the music on!

Tzinah Records: Are there any of your plans/upcoming projects that you would like to share with us? Where can we see you play next?
Nici Frida: Of course I have different plans for a release an ep on Tzinah and also released the first track on the last v.a. – the productions name is ‘’golden gate’’ & an upcoming ep with remix by groovesh. Cant wait for… Im also founder of a event/label calls BEATGREED which I manage with two other artists from Munich – Horst Reißner and Philippe Landsberg. We started this year to expand national wide with the party and to take place now in different great locations like Rote Sonne, Library and some other clubs all over in Germany. For 2017 we would like to build up our also to a world wide network and make plans for tourdates in other countries as well.
